Spec Brand Campaign - "Let's Run For It"
An independently developed spec campaign for Nike Running, created using AI-assisted image generation and art direction, exploring how running can connect with people who want to run but don't necessarily identify as runners. As running culture becomes increasingly associated with performance, pace, tech, "runner's uniform", and participation, this campaign shifts the focus back to the experience itself, the freedom to move, explore the city, and share moments with others. It establishes the core messaging that running doesn't have to be something you have to qualify for, but something you do for the joy of "it".
Creative Direction, Art Direction, Campaign Development
The campaign's creative direction was built around a cinematic, metropolitan urban-diverse world, showing a realistic everyday life. It expresses rain-soaked streets, muted warm-tones, and warm human moments, creating a visual language that feels candid, warm, and inclusive.
The campaign's art direction reflects the city as more than a backdrop; it is an active part of the experience. Through candid movement, imperfect dynamic compositions, and diverse, everyday "non-runners", the imagery moves away from a generic "uniformed" athletic performance towards something more human.
With "Let's Run For It", the goal was to reframe running as an inclusive, easy, and open culture, rather than an exclusive rigid "uniformed" identity. Running doesn't have to be about being a "runner", nor the pace, the distance, or performance. The weather doesn't have to be perfect. Neither do you. You just have to show up and run!
